David Olsthoorn is a young, energetic photographer based in West Clare, Ireland. His unique style is influenced by his surroundings taking his main inspiration from stretches of untouched coastlines around Ireland, especially his native Co. Clare. His images are always a little different, taking the mundane out of a simple scene and turning it into an interesting instant of life, captured through a lens.
His love for travel has brought him to places like, Italy, Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, New Zealand and Australia and has always pushed him to want to explore new places and meet new people.
David has already enjoyed some success on a national and international level. His images have been used in papers such as The Clare People and The Clare Champion. He has also been published in International surfing magazines including Riptide and ThreeSixty. Irish surfing magazine Tonnta use his images on a regular basis.
Last year his photographic project 'The Blue Sofa Project' attracted the attention of local papers. It highlighted the different characters strolling along Lahinch promenade on a busy Summer day.
David is now starting to make a name for himself within the highly competitive wedding market. His relaxed and informal style of wedding photography appeals to couples looking to capture their special day in an unobtrusive and unique manner with great results!
